Went into labour with DS2 at 38weeks. Wasnt planned. I think lots of long walks, hoicking his 2 year old brother up and down lots of steps to playgroup and not having any childcare arrangements that week all conspired to make it happen. Good luck.

ive not managed it myself, but i would say try all the standard stuff like walking, curry, sex etc.
are you under consultant care? my consultant has agreed to induce me when i get to 37 weeks because i am in severe pain with SPD and hugely immobile with 2 preschool kids at home!!
if not under consultant care then your midwife might be able to do something in place of it, like a membrane sweep or similar?

try crying (!!) and explaining the situation, why you are so desperate

There is no guarenteed way of bringing on labour I am afraid it is better not to frustrate yourself trying. It will only make you feel worse.

Bewrae of being induced if you are not favourable. I have seen women end up with CS after having previous normal deliveries.

I went for a fairly strenuous swim at 38+3 ? I mean it was strenuous just keeping afloat with a belly that size ? and went into labour a few hours later. In my defence, it was a very hot summer, but the baby clearly decided she'd had enough and wanted out. I think it only worked because she was already fully developed and was born at an average weight.

It sounds weird but I knew the date in my heart when I will give birth to my DC1. He was 10 days late. Now I am 14+5 and the birth date also came into my mind, this time around 10 days before EDD. I don?t usually believe these things, but maybe deep down every mother knows when her baby will be born?

I know your pain!! I tried everything with my DS2 I walked DS to school (3 miles up hill) I ate half a ton of pineapple, ate a hot curry, used evening primrose, has a sweep in fact I had two! I tried castor oil and sat there with a breast pump until i couldnt take it anymore in the end I was induced at 40 + 1! I had SPD with DS2 thus the want to have him out and the pain to stop - I was told by my doctor that all of these thing only work if your baby is ready to come anyway. To be honest I think I became obsessed with it all which added to the stress. Good luck with whatever you try and I do hope it wont be long for you x
