Anyone used a hipslimmer after giving birth?

I've been doing some reading and was wondering if anyone had used these? or stuff like this?? after giving birth? and did they work?

Just wondering as to their effectiveness.

they both look uncomfortable....

it looks like a narrower version of the support belt i have been given for my SPD, its only comfortable to wear when walking, as it bunches up when sitting down. i find it fairly comfortable, but not something i would wear out of choice
