Yellow/greenish discharge in pregnancy, but no infection found?

Hi all, I am 14+3 pregnant. I have been having this mucus type yellow (sometimes greenish) discharge for a while, I think shortly before I got pregnant. I went to GUM clinic (sexual health clinic), got all the tests done, they said ?yes there is a discharge but it shows no infection?. Some tests results were to come later, and they said if I don?t here from them, then everything is clear. Guess, I haven?t heard from them. My discharge is still there, and I am pretty sure something is wrong. What should I do? (cannot really afford private clinic for second opinion?) Or should I believe that everything is fine? With my first pregnancy, I had no discharge at all.

Does it smell weird (sorry, TMI I know) and are you itchy/uncomfortable?

toja555 · 10/05/2010 10:45

No, it does not smell, does not itch either, although I get some burning feeling sometimes. They say there is no infection, no trush, no STD, no trichomonosis, and it still makes me feel uncomfortable.

Hmmm it does sound like it could just be the normal increased discharge - it is really uncomfortable and icky; I always have to wear panty liners.

i had this i think (not a gp) but its beacause your periods stop and your body still needs to get rid of the bad bacteria if you know what i mean hope that helps

Yep here too in my second pg. It was quite prevalent in the first trimester, (ahem) dried up a bit from about 15 weeks, and then returned with gusto at about 30 weeks. If you are really worried, could you ask your midwife?

Thanks guys. My midwife is rubbish (sorry for the word), she would only say either "it is normal" or "go into clinic". Anything yellow or greenish does not seem normal to me, though.. I am just worried that in the end of the day missed infection can affect the baby (premature birth etc).

For those who had this discharge, did it stop after giving birth?
