They do one day ones here so not a huge commitment.

A HV friend suggested it and I was a bit but its a 9 year gap between children so things have changed and may be useful that way. I'm just not interested in the birth bit as it won't be relevent.

WWYD?

Similar situation to me. I'm going to go with dp. I hyperventilated during my first birth experience with DD1, who was 4 weeks early. Second DD was c-section - on time and ok. I'm due to have a second c-section with this one but worry there's a possibility I'll go into labour early so would be handy to recap.

Thats what friend said if I go into labour it will be useful but I will still be having a section, will just turn it into an EMCS.

Wondering how much is 'parenting' and about the hospital which are the bits we would want.

Depends on what they cover in your area. My first one was a physio one, and would be useful just for getting comfortable in late pregnancy even if you don't go into labour. The last one was breastfeeding, so useful anyway. We didn't have anything about baby care though.

If they are NHS ones, I would go if you have the spare time, if only to keep the numbers up so they don't get cancelled in the future, it can also be useful for the teachers to have mothers their with experience, as loads of people only go with their first. I think it's good for first timers to talk to people with realy experiences who aren't proffessionals.

They have already cancelled the ones in my town , these are 2 towns over so not got the 'meet local mums' aspect.

May phone up and ask what they cover.

Mine actually did one whole session on c sections. Realistic but not what everyone wanted to hear at the time. I'm having my third in july and although I've not had a section yet I'm glad to know about it as it's always a possibility.

Phoned up and they said I need to speak to my MW. Am under consultant care but usually see a MW at some point so will ask tomorrow.
