Somebody please tell me this is a sign of labour about to kick off??

Def not a show just lots more than normal. I didn't get any warning of labour about to start with DD1 so desperately looking for clues!

No idea if this is the case but I could have written your post! I am 40+5 with increased discharge, clear and sticky (sorry for TMI) and am desperately hoping it's a sign of impending labour. I doubt it is though. I googled it and it just said it's normal but nothing to say things would happen any quicker. I am hoping someone will come along with a positive reply for you (and so I can see the answer too!!)

could be nothing, could be a show, my show, which i had naturally with the second (induced with my first so i dont pay much attention to those experiences) was just a bigger discharge than normal, wasnt anywhere near what i expected a 'show' to be. worth keeping an eye on things, see if you go into labour in the next day or two

madcatsazz - how are you feeling today? any contractions?

The discharge is still pretty full on for me & have mild back pain / period pains. Def no contractions yet but feeling hopeful

I had increased discharge before I went into Labour AND my contractions started with dc2 with backache! Fingers crossed for you both!

ps. I never had the show with either of mine

I can answer my own question now! Baby Harry was born at 1.17am

Oh congratulations Millington - still no baby here. Not even a twinge!! I now find myself in the "to induce or not to induce" dilemma. At this stage I'm resisting all interventions but I don't know how much fight I'll have in me to resist for ever!! 41wks today.

How was you labour? Did all go well? How big was baby Harry?

Thanks madcatsazz. All went well, 5 hrs of established labour resulting in water birth for 8lb Harry Good luck to you!
