I'm 38 weeks pregnant and experience bad thrush over the weekend. Phoned the hospital and they told me i can buy over counter stuff so bought a pessary (a tablet you insert in vagina)

Since i put it in the baby had moved loads. Is there any damage i could of done? Should i be worried?

Canestan type pessaries are safe to be used in pregnancy. I really don't think you would have done any damage. If you're still worried about movements in a couple of hours ring the hospital.

Thanks. I really think i'm just worrying over nothing. lol

Hiya. If it was a canesten pessary you'll be fine. I'm off to pick up a prescription for it. Am 15 weeks.

If you're really worried call the midwife.

Hi,
I am also 38 weeks and also had to use a pessary yesterday (spooky!) The midwife and pharmacist assured me that canesten pessaries are fine, the pharmacist told me that she used them while she was pregnant.
My baby has been very active today but I'm putting it down to having a party before the big exit!! Good luck
