Roughly when did your baby 'drop'?

I'm 35 weeks today (DC2) and desperately hoping that s/he is going to miraculously drop sometime soon so I get some relief from heartburn (a little more room for my lungs would be nice too, but the heartburn is more urgent.) When did it happen for you? Am I right in thinking the baby drops sooner with a first pregnancy and only right at the end with a second?

I feel like I can't drink even water for about an hour before I go to bed because as soon as I lie down the acid will creep straight back up... it's a bloody awful design fault!!
