Hello Everyone,

I'm just writing to ask people if they have experienced the same...
I am 29+2wks and i am getting braxton ALLLLLLLLLL the time.. When i say all the time i mean.. Every hr.. sometimes i get 2 in 1 hr but is constant and has been for the past few days now.. there is no let up at any time of the day.. its day n night, so tryin to go to sleep n i can feel my tum tighten.. when i eat i have to stop when i get one as she presses in2 my ribs/stomach.. when i walking about i have to stop n lean over..
i know its normal to have braxton hicks now but this many...... i have had 2 DC but never did i ever have as many as i am havin now.. Worried it might be her sayin she'll be early!
Plus with my DD i thought i was havin braxton hicks (not painful just uncomfortable) untill i went for a checkup at the hospital at 2pm when labour finally started.. about 1 hr later @ 2.55 she was born..

i cant get over how many i'm gettin.. hope i dont have to put up with them till due date.. 11 wks of this plus a big move in 8wks isnt goin to be easy!

I get loads as well. Mine got particularly bad last week, and when I went to the docs, I had a wee infection, so it might be worth going to GP to rule this out. Had other vague symptoms like weeing more and being tired, but nothing like my normal cystitis. However, I do get a lot without having an infection, too. I think you can feel them more with second baby.

its worth letting your midwife know how often your having the BH, they can give you some advice on how to make sure, and at what point you need to go into hospital if they are looking to be possible actual contractions instead of BH.

funny you should post this, im 35 weeks and im having a bad morning of BH!!

Thanks haggisfish and ktwiltshire

Appreciate the reply.. i'll get through today then i'll call my MW tomorrow morning to see what she says.. They are so frustrating.. i couldnt sleep last night as i had so many!

How far gone are you haggisfish?? I am weein more but i put that down to braxton pressin her into my bladder.. As for tiredness i'm always tired as have 2 DC (8yo DS and 3yo DD) plus on 3 cyclazine a day, 3 ferrous tablets a day plus 2 Ratinol or whatever its called for bad heartburn/indigestion lol.. have had hyperemesis the whole preg up 2 now n low iron, stomach inections etc.. its been a grade A nightmare... apart from feelin her move knowin shes ok.
I saw my consultant on my scan last wk but she didnt test my urine which i was bit surprised at but hey! dont actually see my MW for 2wks.

With my DD i thought i was havin braxton but in fact i was in established labour
I'll be contacting my MW asap

Think my nesting instinct is kickin in too lol.. just wanna sort babys clothes out etc lol

Hope you both are well n congratulations on your babys and i hope the next few wks goes smoothly
Thanks again for your replies

At the other extreme, I'm not sure whether I'm getting BH's or not... I can't decide whether it's just a combination of baby stretching, me being tired and it being the end of a long day and then trying to change position too fast (usually when I stand up and march off to the kitchen). My bump certainly doesn't feel any tighter/harder to touch - although inside it feels like the baby is doing a prolonged full body stretch and occasionally I get an ache with it - but then I wonder whether it's just a ligament/muscle ache because it eases off with moving. Twould be nice to think that my body is toning itself up for the big off in a couple of weeks.

Hiya hun

i can feel mine creeping in from the sides to the front n bottom is so tight.. Its scared some people in the shops i can tell ya lol

I so wish i wasnt getting them atm as i still have 10 1/2wks to go.. the thought of sickness/nausea/BH/tiredness/headaches/period type feelings in my tum for the rest of the pregnancy doesnt fill me with alot of enthusiasm..
Oh i so cant wait till shes here then i will feel normal again and see her safe n well

Hope all goes great for you sweetie
