Hi all

Three days ago I posted about how sick and crap I felt and yet I woke up yesterday without any sickness AT ALL and same today. And, of course, now I want it back! And I managed to stay up to watch the election till 1am which, given my usual tiredness, is unusual.

Should I be worried? I'm quite a high risk pregnancy. My boobs are still sore but that's it. Am I about to miscarry? What can I do to reassure myself? I'm really anxious now.

Thanks all.

Hi lemon, sorry to hear you're anxious about this but try to relax. You could be lucky and symptoms are waning early. I lost all symptoms at 16 weeks and sadly it was a m/c, but it doesn't mean you are having one.

Unless your EPU will do an early scan for you, there isn't much you can do except sit tight and hope. Worth giving them a ring, explaining you're very worried and they should offer you a scan.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but wanted you to know that someone has read your post and is thinking of you.

I've had this - a couple of times actually... It's very scary. I went to my Doc and she said that things will fluctuate and it is really quite common. Try not to worry... you might get them back today/tomorrow anyway.

lemony
I know its a bit pointless telling you not to worry as whatever anyone says you will...

I lost my sickness and tiredness at about 10 weeks and like you, having wished it away for weeks was suddenly wishing for it back again... it did come back
Went again at around 12 weeks and I am now 16weeks.

I think the general message is that everyone is different, some lucky ladies don't even get the symptoms in the first place and presuming that you hve no symptoms of miscarriage such as bleeding or pain then there is no reason to jump to this conclusion.

Really try not to worry, you can't change the outcome anyhow so do your very best to relax - it's good for baby
Good luck, thinking of you.

Hi, i know you wont but please try and relax and not to worry too much. I am 17 weeks now and at 9 weeks my symptoms went and i felt soo not pregnant. I wound myself up with panic and went to the docs, he took a blood sample to check my hormone levels and called me 2 days later to say i was very pregnant indeed.I had started to think i was making the whole pregnancy thing up! Go to your GP and put your mind at rest.

Dear all - Thanks for all your input - I do appreciate it.

Flyingdoll - did your symptoms come back after the 9 week blip?

Hi lemonsky, no i cant say they did, the only symptom i had after that point was being tired somedays but other days i was full of energy. Until i got my 12 week scan i really didnt believe it. I had the occasional cramps, but after 9 weeks i felt my usual self, no sickness, no sore boobs ect. Going to the doctors for a blood test at around 10 weeks reassured me a bit. Even now at 17 weeks i just have a small bump, not even the big boobs i was promised! Stay positive hun, i found it hard looking at mumsnet at the time as girls at my stage were having symptoms i wasnt. Everyone is different. x

Just wanted to say that my experience is almost the same as flyingdoll's, except I'm a couple of months further along and still doing fine. Hope that helps and I'm sorry you're worried, lemonsky.

notjustapuppymum · 08/05/2010 14:47

I was the same flyingdoll. I started feeling sick around 7 weeks and just before I hit 9 weeks it suddenly disappeared. I had no other symptoms whatsoever and didn't 'feel' pregnant at all. Was very worrying but all was fine and now have a healthy 6 month old.

Thanks very much for your input. Will just have to sit it out and hope all is okay. I can't do anything about it, so I may as well just make the most of the symptom free days and hope for the best.
