Sorry if I'm repeating something, have scanned through recent posts and tried the 'search' but not much luck.

I'm 32 weeks and midwife has said I'm 3/5 engaged. I was two weeks early, as was my sister, and I'm worried I will follow the same pattern.

I'm moving house soon and I'm not ready! Eeek!

Anyone else 3/5 engaged this early on and go to term? Please reassure a crazy, pregnant person! Thanks

Is this your first baby? Firts ones can engage early and be quite happy sitting there for weeks. It did with mine - subsequent ones tend to wait to the last minute. But my first came a little earlier than expected (only 3 days) and we were moving house too. Try to take it easy and rest more. What did your mw say about it? Was she concerned at all? The thing is - we're all different and each pregnancy is different so you might read something in a book - but they are often talking in general terms.

Oops, yes should have said, it's my first baby!

I know that baby will just come when ready, I wish I knew when 'ready' was!

Both my first and second were engaged from very early on - they were both born within 2 days of their dd.

Thanks, so it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent? I'm terrified of being at work one day, having a baby the next, then needing to move house. I'm just stressing out, which won't help anyone really will it! And breathe...

I was 3/5 at 34 weeks....then 'brim' at 38! I think they do sometimes pop up and down before settling.

I was almost completely engaged at 32 weeks - DS arrived on his due date after three sweeps, the day before we were going to go in for induction (had high BP)

Good luck and congratulations!

I was almost completely engaged at 32 weeks as well and dd arrived at 40+3. It's not a sign - don't worry!

Don't worry, its not a sign at 32 weeks LO was 3/5ths too, nxt app had popped out, 4/5ths for nxt and have no idea where s/he is now and I'm 40+1 with no sign of LO being evicted soon!!

I have been fully engaged since 34 weeks even the midwife said, oh maybe this one is coming early and still nothing (37+6 today).
I am desperately trying not to think about it too much (asides being happy she isn't breech/transverse) and enjoy the time off work as much as possible, good luck with the wait!
I think us first timers are a particularly impatient bunch, I do feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER!

xx
