Eczema during Pregnancy

Hi, I'm 21 weeks pregnant and have started to get eczema on my face around my mouth. I had a little bit at around 9 weeks but it cleared up on its own until a few weeks ago...
I've never really had eczema before but have very sensitive skin and have always had to be very careful what I use on my skin, so I only ever use natural herbal treatments. Unfortunately this approach doesn't seem to be working with the eczema problem... Does any one have any suggestions for me, I'll try any thing now! Thank you!

Hi there! Ive also been suffering with eczema and the herbal cream do not help at all!! Ive been using E45 lotion which is a bit better but still not good enough. If you want to give it a go, you can get E45 from any Boots.

I suffer from eczema, and I've found that the best thing is not to let the skin get too dry. I use Oilatum to wash with when mine is bad, then use Diprobase afterwards. I used both of these in pregnancy.

Try this:

wheatgrass cream

I've had terrible eczema on my eyelids since falling pregnant and this is the only thing to help (have tried E4 and Oilatum). One lid is completley clear and the other is nearly there.

Wow, I didn't expect a response so quickly! Thank you, all the suggestions are really good. I'll let you know what I get on with the best

i used aveeno cream on ds when he was about 1yo and it really helped him.
here

but while i was pregnant with him i developed some specific type of ezcema, cant remember what it was called now, but got a cream for it from the gp.
so may be worth seeing your midwife or gp.

Hi Mickie,

I had a patch of horrible eczema between my shoulder blades around 20 weeks (haven't any eczema sine I was 6). I used Elemis Japanese Camelia Oil (not fragranced at all and also amazing for stretch marks!) - the Eczema cleared up in 48 hours. I don't work for Elemis!
