32 weeks and stabbing pains in side when coughing

Bit worried. Have had a bad chesty cough for the last 10 days or so. Now think I may have pulled something - or worse. Keep having coughing fits and have an awful pain on the left side of my bump which radiates underneath the bump whenever I need to cough. I have to hold onto the bump when I cough or the pain is excruciating. Should I go and see someone or is it likely to be a simple pulled muscle? Any advice appreciated.

I had plerrisy at 34 weeks pregnant - coughed my heart out - it was excurciating! Probably just puled muscles/ligaments as o can no longer 'brace' yourself when you cough - midwife wasn't concerned when I told her.

Thanks for this. I'll try not to worry too much and will keep on holding on when coughing. I'd just love to be able to dose myself up with some Benylin!!

I am 23 weeks and recently started coughing my lungs up - was awful. Got antibiotics from doc and really helped straight away. You should go see doc as might be a chest infection (esp if any greenish flem - sorry it TMI).
