Good websites for birth and beyond

Am trying to compile a list of really good websites for all the ladies in my current parentcraft class, as nothing like this has been offered before. However, with the internet becoming so popular, thought I could offer some info on good sites to visit for those with computer access.
So, can you recommend some good sites for these ladies? Naturally mumsnet top of the list (!), but want some good ones for baby products (ie. kiddicare), health issues, labour and birth etc, etc. Get the idea? any thoughts gratefully rec'd....

Babycentre.co.uk is good as they have "birth clubs" for the month you're due to give birth in. Nothing quite compares to the social side of Mumsnet and the informal "real life" advice you get here though.

Hi Leese, I've been doing a bit of trawling recently, so have saved The Active Birth Centre although I haven't read it so can't tell you what it's like, AIMS who might be helpful if someone wants support re a home birth. This cheap birthing pool from the US was provided by someone else on the home birth thread, and
Parents at work , and New Ways to Work are both good for work/life balance and returning to work issues. I'll add more later if I think of any good ones but like most others here, mumsnet is the one I use the most!

Babycentre is great when you're pregnant as you get weekly bulletins describing what your baby is up to at that moment -eg growing eyelashes or developing elbows. It's just so fascinating. I recommended it to friends who also love the bulletins. The US Babycenter had great advice about positioning for breastfeeding and stuff. I don't bother with any other websites than mumsnet now, and if I want to find out anything else I google.
I do buy ds's clothes online these days - Boden, Vertbaudet etc

For disposable nappies - both Huggies and Pampers have sites. If you register with Pampers you get regularly £1 and £2 off vouchers.

For baby food - Cow and Gate and Heinz have sites.

General sites - Mumsnet (obviously), Baby World, Raising Kids, Bounty

Activities - Tumble Tots, Jo Jingles

Shopping - Babies R Us, Mothercare, PHP (thebaby catalogue), Verberdaut, JoJo Maman Bebe, Two Left Feet, Blooming Marvellous, Grobag (for sleeping bags), The Kids Window (designer clothes)

Travel - baby goes 2

TV - cbeebies

Leese, if you wanted info for teenage mums, you might find some useful info by looking at this website ,

I'm narked because I once found an excellent site set up by and run for teenage mums and I can't find it now. A google search seems to show that more is written about teenage mums - loads of newspaper and online news service articles, university research papers and gov't agencies etc - than by and for them.

I spy an opportunity for some internet-savvy teenage mums.....

Bestbear is a good site if you are looking to hire a nanny - does undercover work on which are good agencies and recommends them. Bad ones conspicuous by their absence.
Also good info about issues around returning to work etc

Netmums are brilliant at \linkwww.netmums.com{}. They are local sites which list all the baby/toddler groups in your area, family events, sections for working mums and single mums, community groups, special offers, nearly new, etc. As it is all local, it has a real community feel to it, and they do have a noticeboard for members comments, suggestions and questions. You'd have to see if they run one in your area, if they do then you shouldn't miss out!
