Breech at 34+2 - is it likely to turn?

Baby was breech at 30 weeks and now is 'oblique breech' at 34+2. I was just wondering if it's likely to turn on its own, or should I just accept it will probably be a c section? I tried all the kneeling on all fours etc etc after 30 weeks, looks like it hasn't made any difference! The midwife didn't actually sound too hopeful, she said it 'might' turn - next appt is at 36 weeks and if it's still breech I have to see the consultant.

Tbh I can't be bothered with all these exercises to turn the baby, I'm knackered and have a toddler to look after! Secretly thinking I wouldn't be too bothered about an elective c-section, at least it would come on time!

DS turned on his own at 38 weeks. Lots of time....

I know you say you don't want to do exercises but have a look here It's interesting and quite doable, if you have a c section wouldn't you find it harder to look after your toddler then? Obviously I'm talking if it wasn't strictly necessary, surely it's worth giving it a go? It isn't exercises per say either really.

My DD turned at around 36.5 weeks - i could feel her doing it (very weird). I had some reflexology which seemed to kick it off

The exercises aren't hard work and are more like getting into certain positions

if you have a birthing ball that is very good to bounce on

as Jodie says a section whilst you have a toddler to look after will be hard work - major abdominal surgery is not a walk in the park

It might be worth contacting an acupuncturist. They can do a treatment called moxibustion which involves burning a herb near your little toe, I know it sounds wierd but it has a success rate of around 60-80% so it might be worth a try. It is also far less invasive than getting the baby turned manually.

Dd was breech until around 36-37wks and then transverse for a week after that. At 38wks she was head-down. I didn't do any exercises.

So still plenty of time left.
