Any advice / experiences?

I am booked in for a private one tomorrow at quite short notice, to assess the risk of second trimester loss / pre-term delivery. I will get one around 24 weeks as well (on the NHS) but feel I can't wait til then, as I am paranoid about cervical incompetence after having 3 x D&C's in the past. Most likely all is fine, I'm just such a worrywort and would rather have extra checks. Anyone know anything about this, e.g. what questions to ask, etc.?

I'm 18 wks tomorrow.

Thanks.
