Why do my legs hurt?

I've been getting the odd sharp pain in my calves. Today, a couple of times when I sat down, both of my legs went funny. It was like a really strong ache all the way down both legs. That sounds a bit wierd, I know, but I don't know how else to describe it.

Anyone else have this?

How far along are you?
I didn't get sharp calf pains but did get aching all down my legs toward the end and the classic sharp twang from bottom down the back of my thighs too.
Also extreme aching in hips.

It sounds like classic calf cramps that you can get at any stage of pregnancy, just google pregnancy leg cramps and loads of info will come up. As for me I have terrible crampy aches all the way from my buttocks down to my toes every single night so you have my sympathy. I'm 24 weeks, but as I say apparently the cramps are a common symptom at any stage.

No back problems but I do have SPD. Saw an osteopath today for that, he doesn't think it's related. And clearly was a bit when I tried to describe it. Must think I'm a bit mad. Maybe I am!

I'm 16 weeks now so a bit early for those end of pregnancy aches.

It's not like leg cramps, I had plenty of those last time so I know what they're like.

Oh, I don't think I'm describing it very well. It's actually not that painful so I should probably stop banging on about it. It was just a bit odd so was wondering if anyone else had had it.

Synthesis Pubis Dysfunction, which means having a bloody sore pelvis!

I may be completely wrong, but it sounds like what I've been having, which my Dr told me could be sciatica. He said that a lot of people get shooting pains down their legs, but for others it's an ache.

Sorry you have SPD. I have it too, it's been so much worse this time round (number 2) and it's awful!

It is rubbish, isn't it? My 2nd time too and it started really early.
I'll ask my doctor about the sciatica thing then. Can it be treated?

Mine started around 15 weeks this time, was about week 23 last time.
I was just told it would go away on it's own, but having a look on the internet and I've found physio and chiropractors can help. Mine hasn't been too bad at all so I'm not too bothered, but if it's bothering you I would definitely get over to the Dr.
