Prolapsed Disc and Pregnancy

I have a prolapsed disc which is currently not touching any of the nerves and hence the pain is manageable without any medication. However, with the onset of pregnancy I am dreading the coming months! This wasnt a planned pregnancy at all ...

Anyone with any experiences on this? Has anyone managed to have a natural delivery with a prolapsed disc or is elective c-section my only option? How bad does the pain get and is there any specific pain management technique during the pregnancy period.

TIA for your input!

Hiya, there is another thread that mentions this somewhere?
I have a prolapsed disk, which was on the nerves during weeks 6 - 16. Don't want to put you off, but it was horrible. Could only take codine, which didn't agree, so had nothing!! ouch!
I spent a week in bed, couldnt get to the loo or anything, but managed to pull myself through it.
I am now 32 weeks, and had a good physio. She had me doing pilates, and luckily the disk didn't hang about on my nerves for too long. She says it could happen again at any point, with the increased weight of the baby.
But I am trying not to lift too much, or slouch on the sofa. Trying to keep my good posture, and do regular pilates, and keeping oving. Fingers crossed, if I can make it untill 40 weeks, I will have a natural birth!
How many weeeks are you? what treatment have yyou had/ having?
