37 weeks, headache, migraine - is this normal?

I'm 37 + 4 and I've had a nasty headache for 2 days, and then this morning I developed a migraine. I don't have any swelling and my blood pressure has been fine all the way through my pregnancy.
Has anybody else experienced similar?

Hi. Can be very normal but it could be something else. If you don't usually get migraines I would definitely get it checked out. Maybe ring your MW for some reassurance/advice? I have always suffered from headaches and migraines and had lots during early pregnancy but when I had a migraine at 39 weeks they made me go through all the checks for eclampsia. It was just a migraine but they wanted to be sure. Hope you are feeling better soon.x

I think you need to speak to your midwife right away.

How have your baby's movements been?

You need your blood pressure tested asap. Maybe it's just a migraine, or a virus, but maybe its pre-eclampsia.

I don't want to panic you, but this could be an emergency situation - better safe than sorry so please phone your mw/labour ward now.
