Hi all,

My mum has just informed me that Asda are having a good baby stuff sale! Im 18 weeks, haven't bought anything yet and am not in the UK to get anywhere near Asda .

She is coming over in a few months though and has kindly offered to do some shopping for me and bring everything over with her!

So..what to buy?? I'm completly new to this and have been informed of the basics...I'm thinking maybe a buggy and car seat would be a good start...baby things are madly expensive here!!

So has anyone been to Asda yet and what do you think of the things you have bought?
Any recommendations would also be very welcome, have you found anything at any reasonably priced shops that are invaluable??

Most of the bargains are on their website...oh, and I am stocking up on nappies!

ASDA have the avent microwave bottle steralizer really cheap and it's a good piece of kit if you are going to use bottles at any time. I think it is £10.00 rather than the £25 i paid 3 years ago. they also have a baby bouncy chair type thing quite cheap, we used ours a lot but things like that aren't essential, more personal choice

Asda don't have much choice of prams or car seats (well the ones near me don't) but they're great for stocking up on nappies, clothes, bottles etc.

Don't forget to check out Tesco's baby event too everyone. There are loads of great offers on the website (www.tesco.com/babyclub/) and heaps of competitions too.

All good stuff!
