A bit about it really, so maybe some of you lovely ladies can enlighten me.

As title says, I've got mild periody pains. That sort of heavy feeling you get in your lower tum when you're about to come on.

Baby is moving well, I've had no show or anything, and at MW yesterday she said she wasn't even engaged yet. So surely this can't be the start of things?

It possibly could be - thats how my contractions started with dd - she was born at 35 weeks. My waters did break first tho I don't think this would have affected how the ctx felt when they started iykwim

sounds like early labour signs.

really?? Will they have to give steroid injections for babys lungs at this stage as still officially premature. Lord I'm getting way ahead of myself here!!

I don't think so, they didn't give me steroid jabs with dd. They may just monitor baby when s/he is born.

But remember - it may not be labour

I got them from this time off and on for days with 2 of my DC....both went overdue (by a long way)! Don't call a cab yet!

Good luck.

I could have written this thread title / original post myself! I am 36 weeks and have been getting mild "period" type pains on and off for about a week now. Don't remember anything like this with baby number 1. No other signs. I am kind of relying on the next 3 or 4 weeks to get things straight so don't really want an early arrival, but i guess you have no choice in these things.
