this is so cool, a hospital is now barcoding babies because DR handwriting is so bad!

I'm not sure I do think it's cool!

It's actually a bit scary in a big-brother kind of way (BB as in 1984, not Channel 4!)

I mean I can see the advantages, sure, but my gut feeling says no! It feels like it's just one step closer to us all being chipped at birth

It be wrong to bring up the nazi concentration camp association of barcoding people as an anti-argument.
I would worry about nurses running around the hospital... "price check on baby number 58965"
But generally gonna go with 'good idea' much rather my baby than someone elses!
