Pregnant?

I took a preg test 3 weeks ago as period was late, boobs sore and just 'felt' different, but it came back negative. Couple of days later I got my period, well definitely bled but not much (although I never have very heavy periods anyway) but 3 weeks later I'm still feeling funny - have had cold for 10 days which can't shake, even though usually I fight things off quickly, as if my immune system is weakened, boobs sore and seem bigger, feel ratty and argumentative and needing to wee several times an hour.
I know you can't have a proper period whilst pregnant, but could it have been implantation bleeding?

Implantation bleeding is literally a spot or two and occurs a week after conception, so a week before your period is due. I'd say as you've had a negative test that it was your period.
Have you tested again?

Not done another test as yet, as thought it must have been my period although was v v light - but symptoms have persisted. Will try again and see what happens! Thanks, didn't know spotting came week after conception and week before period.

For the last few days I have been run down and feel rubbish. I have what seems like flu with sore throat and runny nose. My gums are very tneder and bleeding. I didn't think the gum symptom kicked in till much later. I had a brownish mischarge 19th/20th/21st and due on tomorrow - 24th April. Had a negative test yesterday. Having little cramps in my womb area last few days and I'm exhausted! My two other pregnancies did not have any implantation bleeds. When Shall I test again?

As Trafficcone says, it's unlikely, BUT... I have had implantation bleeding 3 times - and the first two times I completely mistook it for a period. This time I knew from experience... In my case it was bright red flow (but not heavy) for 1-3 days, then spotting. Apparently that's unusual, but it can happen. It can be anything from 6 to 12 days after ovulation. Only way to know is to test again!

Spoofie, this pregnancy I tested +ve about 3 days after the start of my implantation bleed but very, very faint. Sensible thing would be to wait and see if AF shows tomorrow and then test if not - but who am I to preach sensible-ness when i couldn't stop myself from frantically testing at just 10DPO this time!

Hi, I had an implantation bleed too, I had tested very early, got a positive, and began to bleed the next morning, which was still two days before I was due, and thought all was lost. I understood implantation bleeding to be just a spot or two, but mine was like a period. When it stopped by morning I was puzzled, tested again 3 days later, still a strong positive.
I'm now 14 weeks and just had my first scan! I would test again if it were me, it certainly sounds like you could be x

Thanks for your replies. I still haven't had a period and been having cramps so looks like I will be coming on soon. If no period tomorrow then will test again and keep you posted.

My implantation bleed was like a normal period too - I'm 39+1 now. I only tested to discount pg as I was having fertility treatment and was shocked to get a positive result! My bleed was about 5 days before AF was due and was heavy for 2 days then tailed off to spotting for another 3 or 4 days.

Just tested again and negative. As I was due on Sat/Sun I expect my Aunt Flo will be visiting me in the next few hours as the test was neg. Nevermind. Always next month.

Still no period and negative test today again. 6 days late??? Anyone had this?
