Things I like about being pregnant.

My nipples are normally so lazy but when I'm pregnant they say hello 24 hours a day. I have like my 40 week porn star tits loan.

Ok, in an attempt not to scare anyone else off...

I like feeling round rather than fat when I'm pregnant, and I like the way I don't have to pluck my eyebrows as often.

and pregnancy has what exactly to do with eyebrows? (she asks a little nervously)

er nothing LOL, just my hair doesn't grow as fast when I'm pregnant, don't have to shave my legs as often too.

Agree with grommit - after 2 solid months of sheer nausea and vomiting, I really hate being pregnant! I seriously can't think of a single thing that I like about it, except what my sister calls the "anticipation" - the feeling that something good will happen soon. Also, DH is really sweet and loving when I'm pregnant. There's a good thing! Not so negative after all.

Since I haven't been pregnant for over 2 years now I have forgotten the bad bits. So here goes:

I loved the bump, the wriggling inside me, attention from everyone, buying things for the baby, how special I felt, how much I looked forward to meeting my child, the condition of my hair and nails was FAB!, need I go on....

.... I'm very broody just now.

I also loved the feeling of excitement at the blue line appearing on the pregnancy test.... the feeling of my waters breaking knowing that soon my baby and I would look at each other face to face. I loved the way all my friends were fascinated coz none of them had had children at the time. I loved picking a name and I loved the scans....... sigh!

Grommit, have to agree with you there! You're not at the 20-week mark, too, are you (can't remember from the other thread)? I think it's the worst stage: seems like you've been pregnant for years, and there's still years of it left before D-day...

I loved never being alone - someone to talk to all the time that whole feeling of creation was just fabulous, made me feel clever. feeling sad that I'll probably never be pregnant again

I liked having the company too. Funny that. Also liked buying baby things - a whole new retail world opened up. Loved Peter Jones baby dept, loved Baby Gap, loved Petit Bateau, loved feeling so happy that I was going to have a baby. Liked picking names. Felt great, but my hair was hideous

M2T that was so lovely. I'm 20 weeks and haven't felt a thing for the baby until just this week when it has started to wiggle and squirm and now all the feelings are rushing in. Amazing how much you can love someone that you haven't seen.

It's so intense isn't it Nobby?? I remember all the best bits so clearly.

Oh GOD I'm so broody! Musn't get preggers before the wedding... I keep telling myself that.

I liked the wriggling too. Missed it enormously after the baby had arrived and was yowling in the crib next to the bed..."shut up! I'm missing you wriggling!"

Also I was blissful and calm and peaceful and drifted through life with a beatific smile. The rest of the family enjoyed that bit too. At one point, about 6 months pg, I collected for Save the Children in a local supermarket, with the older ones (10, 7 and 4) clustered round me ("here! have mine!" ) - have never felt so maternal!

I've just started feeling some movement - 16 weeks - and had forgotten how wonderful it is!
I love my hair when I'm pregnant too - I feel all luscious!
And I love scans - the one I had yesterday showed little feet with wriggly toes.

I loved feeling my baby wiggyling about inside - I could spend ages talking to and stroking my tummy!

I just enjoyed being pregnant, well after the first 3 months of sickness anyway. It's supriding how quick you forget about that bit.

Tinyfeet - hope your sickness stops soon. I spent weeks 5-13 being horribly sick morning, noon and night. Remembering back it was dreadful and nothing stopped it. I used have to leave my classroom during lessons to be sick - in the end the kids knew what was happening and just go on! I spent a terribe two weeks on oliday in the carribean. It was so hot and I felt awful and couldn't eat. I just wanted to come home. Then, one morning I woke up and it had completely gone. Hope that happens for you too.

I loved people getting out of the way in a busy high street as I marched towards them......nothing else!

I love the movements too. they are so reasuring and you know noone but another mother knows what you mean. miss that when it's born. love the feeling of achievement. " i grew that all by myself!"

I loved the whole thing too - M2T also vv. broody. I am in a permanent state of broodiness - as much for the pregnancy as the baby! I would love to have another - unfortunately that isn't going to be happening for a long while as i'm all on my own I worry that I might never be pg again, (and I'm not even 23 yet) but I guess there's time yet.

Pregnancy for me was a magical time and I loved every minute (except the worrying bit...).

I loved having that convenient bump to rest your teacup on.

In fact I miss it so much I'm doing my best to get it back (without having another baby) :0
