Vitamin A - pampers advice

Hi all!

Just received my weekly e-mail newsletter from Pampers. One piece of advice offered is to drink tomato juice for vitamin A. I was under the impression that you'd want to limit vitamin A intake in pregnancy... Am I wrong or is pampers giving inappropriate advice?

I think you are sposed to avoid the animal source of Vit A so no liver, but vegetable sources (beta carotene) are ok.

My Pregnacare supplements contain a source of beta carotene, originally I was taking an American made brand and they had 100% Vitamin A from Retinol in them, I guess different countries offer different advice.

vegetable sources are important to your babies development not just "ok"
