spotting after pooing

I'm having some very light pink/brown spotting though only after pooing. I am a bit congested and constantly feel like a need a poo but trying not to go too much because of the spotting. Advice? Reassurance? Am six weeks. Scared it's all going wrong especially as no longer feeling sick.

Are you sure it's spotting from your vagina and not from your bottom? Sorry if TMI!! It's just that when I get constipated I suffer from piles which bleed if I've had to strain...

I had the exact same thing. When I mentioned it to the midwife she said it could be a slight case of cervical erosion and not to worry about it. It will just be your cervix getting knocked as the poo passes down. Might be worth mentioning to your midwife to be on the safe side.

I had the same thing too....
Get checked out for your own peace of mind, but mine was nothing to worry about (in fact I had lots of bouts of bleeding between 5 and 12 weeks due to cervical erosion) - I'm now 22 weeks pregnant. xx

Thanks. Def vaginal as I put some loo roll up there to check and it came out a little pink.
I would be less worried about it if I hadn't also lost the nausea I'd been feeling. I feel very bloated though and a but constipated.
Whenever I have a smear or other investigation I do bleed though and when I had HSG the radiographer said he thought I had the kind of cervix that easily bleeds, so maybe it is that.
Can't decide whether or not to go to EPU. Don't want to have top tell my colleagues why I am leaving. Presumably there is nothing they can do if I am miscarrying so I could wait until tomorrow? Or if I was would they be able to do anything to prevent it?
