How often do you get braxton hicks? Where do you feel pain and what is the pain like?

Thanks for your help, i'm just worried I might be in labour at 35 weeks x

Speaking from my own experience (from past and present pregnancies), BH feel like a 'tightening' all across my bump, which make it go really hard and sometimes a funny shape. With dd they didn't hurt (only felt uncomfortable if I stood up during one iyswim), but with this baby they can be quite painful, like period pains, and I can feel a lot of pressure 'down there'.

How long have your BH been going on for? I think the difference between BH and real labour is that if you walk around, change position or have a bath and the pains/tightenings ease up then it's BH, but if they get more intense and carry on more frequently then it could be labour.

braxton hicks die off if you get in the bath or move around, on teh whole

real ctx get stronger if you move, won't stop in the baht and get stronger, longer and closer to gether..

A few hours ago i had stomache ache with cramps in my back and cramps bellow my belly button. Now I don't have stomach ache but getting cramps in back and belly on and off. Also started getting a shotting pain in my vagina. The cramping in back and lower belly aren't getting stronger just the same. The come and go every 10, 15 mins

Call the hospital, MrsCraig, and tell them everything you've told us - that's what the midwives are there for. Then go in and get checked out, it can't hurt.
