I know it'll probably be okay and I know I need to just relax and also what will be will be, but anyone else in early pregnancy and with high anxiety about whetehr it will be okay. We've tried for this for so long (over two years) and now I dare not get my hopes up but instead go to looseveral times an hour to check for blood etc. Also my symptoms come and go and this just worries me too. Anyone?

I think 7 +3 will be far enough along. I'll be 7 +5 by my scan (from my dates) and so hoping that whatever they say will be conclusive as I don't want the agony of waiting for a second scan.

Thank you for the reassurance. I was getting occassional twinges in my abdomen but nothing recently. I am on progesterone Pessaries so they may be effecting me, I deem to have a small firm bump but I recon that's bloating from the Progesteone.

I read all over the place of people with cramps, twinges, burping, farting and so on and just wish I had some.

notso · 23/04/2010 12:00

Can I join you fellow anxious ladies please?

This is my third pregnancy, have DD9 and DS5 but I'm really scared this time round.
I think it's because I never thought we would have another one, DH was against it for years and also because it has happened so quickly, first cycle after coil removal.

By my calculations I am 5 +3 and have had crampy pains nearly every day so far. Was sick in the beginning but that has lessened to just feeling sick. Have also been exposed to chicken pox and slapped cheek syndrome which i find worrying too.

Am seeing the midwife on Tuesday and cannot wait.

carocaro · 23/04/2010 12:11

I have been through this too. At around 8 weeks the docs sent me to the early pregnancy unit at the local hospital, they had to do an internal scan to be able to see anything.

Be prepared, they do say to you that even though they can see a heartbeart and everything looks good, there is still a small chance that things might change.

Think of it as a huge big step in the right direction.

yellowflowers · 25/04/2010 20:59

Hi all how you doing? Told the in laws this weekend and telling my parents tomorrow and feel like fate will wait for us to tell them and then laugh at us by making it all go wrong. Silly really, I am not at all religious. Have started to wake up in night for wee and to have achey boobs. Also very tired. May all be in
my head though. X

How is everyone? Yellowflowers bet your parents were so happy when you told them! Is this your first?

I felt a bit sick lying in bed this morning but it was very mild. Feeling very tired all the time though especially afternoons. Still only 4+5 ages before I can get a scan.

PJen · 27/04/2010 10:46

I am so happy to find this thread as it shows I am not the only one! I wake up worried and feel better when I notice the nausea is there. Then I am worried all day although having nausea on and off. I have told closest family + friends but regret now as I am worried that they get too sad if something goes wrong.

Worst than that, I had an early scan last week friday and the consultant said that the peanut is smaller than it should be. Now I am reading about small fetus and all that can go wrong with them! The pregnancy time feels like for ever and I am only 8 wks!!!!

Any stories on fetus being small and all went well at the end?

EggsandBacon · 27/04/2010 11:09

PJen - welcome to the anxious ladies thread!! I'm guessing you were 7+ when you had the scan? I've heard all sorts about early scans not being conclusive, so don't worry (easier said than done!) at this point. Are you getting another scan done later?

Do you like that I just said "don't worry" and yet I spend about an hour every morning googling "period pain in early pregnancy"?!? I'm such a hypocrite!!

Yellow - I feel like a lot of symptoms are in my head. Apart from the digestive problems, although that could be something different. I'm tired because I don't sleep well when I'm stressed!!

Claire, glad you are on this thread too, these weeks go so slowly. I just keep reminding myself that there is no reason why I shouldn't be one of the ones who has the healthy pregnancy & baby.

Nervous nervous nervous!!

Can I join, I am 13+5 had my scan last week and I still can't relax, really getting me down now. Have no idea why I feel like this but I am convinced something will go wrong
Just want to enjoy it but I am really struggling.

Hope everyone's scan goes well x

PJen · 27/04/2010 11:58

EggsandBacon you are so funny. Yes I was 7+ week and have another one for wk 12. Which means 4 more weeks to go. I had the period like cramps in wks 5 and 6 and they went away. Turned out it was because my ligands are stretching. Mind you I didn't know I have ligands there! lol...

yellowflowers · 27/04/2010 12:38

Hi all,

Anyone heard from Mermaid?

Try not to worry PJEn - these boards full of people who hear about small feotuses etc and all turns out fine. Thinking of you though.

Hello nunnie - recognise your from ttc boards.

Clairedeloon - yes parents were thrilled. This is my first and first grandchild on both sides.

ClaireDeLoon it looks like we're at the same stage girl! I'm either 4+6 or 5 today, not sure exactly when I ovulated.

Just starting to get waves of nausea in the afternoons or evenings and my tum is really big and windy. I think I've put on 1kg already and apparently I shouldn't have put on any at this stage, ooops.

I've had an achy womb for the past 5 days but can't feel it today. First I was worried about getting the aches and now I'm worried that it's gone away..

Someone send for the men in white coats...

Hi,
Had another early scan today because of the spotting last week. Last week they saw a heartbeat and dated it at 5+6. Had another today and they took ages (it was awful - thought they were going to tell me they couldn't find anything) and then finally found the heartbeat but it measured at 6+3. As it is exactly seven days since last one it should have been 6+6 - anyone know the margin of error and if this is okay? I have to go back for another one next week but am so worried I don't know how I will get through week.
Anyone else had this?

ClaireDeLoon · 27/04/2010 21:18

I'm not sure yellowflowers I've never been in that sitiation but just wanted you to know I am wishing the best for you both.

PJen · 27/04/2010 23:22

yellowflowers this is exactly like the problem I had. They say the fetal is 7+1 wks but I am 7+4 and can't have the ovulation date mistaken so I did a lot of googling, which caused tons of anxiety and reading horror stories. Then I thought to myself how can they be bloody exact to mm when the whole picture is so fuzzy? I read about their accuracy and aparantely they are not THAT accurate in their measurements before week 10!! So better not worry and I am saying this to myself too.

yellowflowers · 28/04/2010 11:19

Hi PJen,
Looking back a few posts that is exactly the advice I gave to you too. Easier said than done though isn't it? How you feeling? When is your next scan?

PJen · 28/04/2010 14:07

YF! That is so true and funny... ha ha... lol... we better listen to each other... my next scan is at week 12, which is May 24th. I talked to some of the healthy mums that I know and ALL of them had small or strange sized pupils at week 7-8! Aparantely the peanut can coil and uncoil and therefore the measurement is not accurate at all till week 10!! xoxo

ClaireDeLoon · 28/04/2010 15:36

beanie/df good luck with your scan tomorrow, am thinking of you and hope you see that hb

yellowflowers · 28/04/2010 19:21

Yes good luck duellingfanjo. x

PJen - my 12 week sacan is a few days after yours. Though it is actually at 11 weeks as we're on holiday during week 12-14.

Hello

I am suffering with massive anxiousness - I am 9+1 and had a massive bleed at 8+1, but thankfully after a scan at 8+2, and despite bleed, all was well.

But - I bought a doppler online on Tuesday and it arrived yesterday! I tried it out straight away and heard baby's heart beating away... I wasn't sure at first, but DH tried later and he heard it too - It cost me £28 (including a big bottle of gel) and honest to god, it's the best money I have ever spent. I will try it out every few days until my 12 week scan, to keep me (and ultimately, baby) nice and calm.

PJen - I have responded to your measurement worries on another thread :-)

EggsandBacon · 29/04/2010 10:15

Hi Amarilis - that sounds good!! I'm glad it is working and you can hear the heartbeat, that is really reassuring.

Duelling - good luck for the scan today, hope it goes ok. Will keep an eye out for news!

starshaker · 29/04/2010 10:19

This probably wont help but im now 22wks+4 and i still panic something will go wrong. Ive had 5 m/c and 1 healthy pregnancy so my odd havent been great. On the plus side with this pregnancy im getting 2 for the price of 1

DuelingFanjo · 29/04/2010 10:30

Hi all

good news, I have seen a heartbeat Am so massively relieved.

I explained to the nurse that I was feeling very scared and she warned me that at first she might not say very much but it didn't mean anything was wrong. As it was she immediately showed me the heartbeat and said i am measuring well for my dates.

I was counting myself as 7 +3 from the Egg collection but she says I should count from Embryo transfer (+2 weeks) so I am just 7 weeks. The Foetus is measuring at 7 +1/2.

I was also told that the measurement is not completely accurate hence the 1 or 2 and not to worry because the measurements are so small they can't be sure they are precise. Hope this is helpful to those who have smaller measurements than they were expecting?

I still don't feel this is real but wew have another scan in 2 weeks and hopefully will be able to relax a bit more then.

Hope all are ok, and thank you so much for the support. Am I brave enough to join a December thread now do you think!?

ClaireDeLoon · 29/04/2010 10:36

That's fantastic news I am so very pleased for you take it easy for the rest of the day and relax now OK!!

yellowflowers · 29/04/2010 10:40

fantastic news duellingfanjo. I joined december thread at beginning but not been on it for ages as worried it is tempting fate - think I will wait until the 12 week one to properly join it.

Really pleased Duelling, that's great news. I have a scan on Saturday, I'll be 7+3 so hoping it will be just like yours!!

Hi starshaker - it's good to hear that it's normal to worry, really pleased this is working out for you after all you've been through (and as this is a post mc pregnancy for me, I love hearing it working out for others too!!).
