I know it'll probably be okay and I know I need to just relax and also what will be will be, but anyone else in early pregnancy and with high anxiety about whetehr it will be okay. We've tried for this for so long (over two years) and now I dare not get my hopes up but instead go to looseveral times an hour to check for blood etc. Also my symptoms come and go and this just worries me too. Anyone?

oh congrats yellowFlowers.
Hope you feel reassured

I know everyone has one of these stories and they don't always help but I know someone who spotted for 12 weeks.

Eggsandbacon I love your quote about weird shit. Sums it up perfectly!

Hermya321 · 20/04/2010 16:45

Yellowflowers Fantastic news!!!

DomesticG0ddess · 20/04/2010 20:03

Eggsandbacon, I have either been constipated and then had diaorrhea. Lots of cramping in my side - mainly on the right, definitely guts. And constant bloating and wind! Haven't had this as much for a couple of weeks though, but have had two sort of "attacks" after eating pork products. First one was sausages - about 3 hours later I had the worst pain in my intestines, again on the right, got steadily worse for about 2 hours, then I was sick, and it went away. Then on Saturday I had a bacon sandwich - similar thing happened, not quite as bad, but still v painful. I had my gallbladder removed in November, and I think it is related to this - my body seems unable to digest certain fats whilst pg. So if it is doing that to me, I imagine it can do all sorts to people in different ways.

I think diaorrhea very common in pg though. I have also had a stomach bug when about 6 weeks - 24 hours of puking and the runs, and was fine after.

So, you asked for more detail and there it is!!! Also anxiety will cause you to have more tummy pains. How pg are you?

EggsandBacon · 21/04/2010 10:19

I'm 6 weeks now. I think the pain is from my guts, it is a lot like "nervous tummy" and seems relieved a bit when I go to the toilet, but sometimes the pain feels just like bad period pain (unfortunately reminds me of miscarrying).

I'm not bleeding, so I'm trying to stay positive. I have a scan in a week so I will know then if it has progressed or not. I just wish I could feel like the pain was normal.

Hopeful1980 · 21/04/2010 15:58

Hi ladies, I only got my conclusive BFP this morning but already anxious. I feel like I've got mild period pains, there's definately something going on down there. No blood at all, is the achiness just normal?

Also, can I just ask - how do you count how many weeks you are? what's this 7+5 or 5+2 ? is it weeks and days? also, are you counting from CD1 or from Ov. date?

Confused... and still in shock x

ClaireDeLoon · 21/04/2010 16:03

Yes, I am feeling very anxious, in fact I burst into tears when I got my bfp earlier today, have been trying for 2 and a half years for our first and have had two miscarriages.

Is there a pregnancy after mc thread for some handholding and advice does anyone know?

yellowflowers · 21/04/2010 16:49

congrats hopeful1980 and clairedeloon.

I think there are lots of pg after mc if you look for them.

Hopeful - yes it's weeks and days, and it's counted from date of last period though at your scan they may change that if your cycle is longer. x

oh my god !! ClaireDeLoon... really?! (beanieb here!)

Massive massive congratulations my love
there are a few threads for hand holding after miscarriage, I have joined one but too scared to start posting yet, will try to find for you. Am too scared to get fully into the due Dec threads either. Are you Due January? I am so pleased for you and wishing you all the luck in the world

Congratualtions also Hopeful, I am sure cramping is normal.

ClaireDeLoon · 21/04/2010 17:10

Yes beanie really really really - am in shock as we weren't really trying at all.

I'm due in December too - right at the end of the month it says. I'm too scared to join the due in Dec thread too. Will hide with you in the preg after mc thread if you can point me in the right direction.

ClaireDeLoon · 21/04/2010 17:11

BTW how is it going? Come update in our conception thread!

DuelingFanjo · 21/04/2010 17:20

Claire this is the thread I have dipped my toe in - have only posted once! There is another which may be more active, not sure.

mermaidspurse · 21/04/2010 20:19

scan today 6+5 and just an egg yolk and no heart beat. late ovulation? dates wildly out? I feel like I am stuck in a never ending loop of sadness. Good luck everyone

DuelingFanjo · 21/04/2010 20:51

Oh Mermaid, I hope you are ok
it could be too early, though I know what it's like to be hoping for the best when it feels like the worst has happened. Will be thinking of you x

yellowflowers · 21/04/2010 22:57

Thinking of you Mermaidspurse. When are you going back to check? Much love xx

OP posts:
EggsandBacon · 22/04/2010 10:30

Thinking of you Mermaid - I hope all the luck is going your way right now.

ClaireDeLoon · 22/04/2010 10:38

Also thinking of you mermaid, are they seeing you agin in a week or two?

Honeybee79 · 22/04/2010 19:51

Hi and congratulations! I felt exactly the same and still do (now just over 16 weeks). Just tried to tell myself that if something was going to go wrong then really it as out of my hands. Also, telling myself that the further along you get in the first trimester, the smaller the risk of things going wrong becomes helped. There's always going to be something to worry about . . .

DuelingFanjo · 23/04/2010 11:00

I will be 7 weeks tomorrow and not a sign of Nausea or extreme tiredness.

I do tend to burn the candle at both ends and survive on little sleep so maybe I am just fighting the tiredness? Though everyone I speak to says it will just hit me and i won't be able to fight it.

Scan in a week and I am just dreading being told it's not viable

Symptoms are : strong sense of smell, blue veins on boobs. that's all! Am on progesterone pessaries twice a day an d am scared they are supporting a non-viable pregnancy. I just want to get the scan over with.

ClaireDeLoon · 23/04/2010 11:08

7 weeks is still early though for sickness and the like, plus they say that the older you are the less likely you are to get morning sickness! Hang in there, you've got one more week to get through.

DuelingFanjo · 23/04/2010 11:15

oh - is that true, the age thing?

I have just booked the day of my scan (thurs) and the next day off just incase it's bad news. I remember last time having to call up and tell my boss that I had just been told I was having a missed miscarriage and wouldn't be coming in. I don't want to go through that again.

One minute I am fine and feeling positive, the next I am just feeling that the worst has happended

EggsandBacon · 23/04/2010 11:38

Duelling - I'm going through highs and lows too. I want to feel happy that I'm pregnant but I'm finding it hard, I keep getting period type pains, which is what I had last time with mmc.

I'm having a scan in a week too - I'll only be 7 weeks 3 days then though, so hoping not too early to get a reassuring heartbeat!

I don't have any symptoms either, just period pains, but I think it's common not to have symptoms.

The next week is going to be a long wait, but hope your scan goes ok and is reassurring. I feel like I just want to get it over with.

xxx

EggsandBacon · 23/04/2010 11:39

(Just realised that you also said you just want to get the scan over with!! That's exactly how I feel about it.)
