How much did you gain between 25 and 36 weeks

Yet another thread about weight gain!!

I'm 25 weeks and weighed myself this morning - have put on 22lbs which I'm ok(ish!) with.

I was carrying some extra padding before I fell pregnant so don't want to put too much more on (ideally only want to gain another 8lbs).

What did you gain between 25 and 36 - is there any point in trying to watch what I gain now or should I just leave my body to it??

My diet isn't as healthy as it should be (ice cream anyone??) so I could cut back a bit there and a bit more exercise wouldn't go amiss.

Obviously I'd never do anything that could deprive the baba!

Thanks - and I may not be able to post again until lunchtime so I'm not ignoring anyone who does reply

1.5 stone from 24 weeks to where I am now, 36 weeks

and 1 stone in the first 24 weeks. Not liking my ever increasing whale look!

I had put on 13kg (28lb) by 25 weeks and was given a bit of a bollocking by my MW because she said that was all I should put on in the whole pregnancy.

But I have subsequently chilled out on the chocolate, cut out a few of the midnight feasts and started doing my pregnancy yoga DVD and I haven't put anything on since even though my bump has got much bigger (although I am only 28+4 and there is PLENTY of time). I expect I will put on a good few more kilos but I'm hoping that the trajectory won't be as horrific now I've calmed down and got a bit healthier about things.

Think most important thing is to be healthy and not to get too worried. With DS I put on quite a bit of weight but was slimmer than ever 9 months after the birth thanks to breastfeeding.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Thanks for your posts everyone, guess I will just have to be sensible with my eating and exercise and see what happens.

Have no idea. But in both pregnancies put on between 4 and 4.5 stone and lost weight in the first 12 weeks (about half a stone) then between 12 and 40 weeks must have put on about 5 stone in one pregnancy. And I am sure it went on quicker at the end.
