Hi everywhere i read it mentions morning sickness and i have not experienced any nausea whatsoever nor any changes in my food tastes etc - i guess i should be feeling relived but i'm not, i am really worried that i am not experiencing these symptoms - is anyone else in the same boat?

I had hyperemesis (severe morning sickness) and didnt have any symptoms until 7+ weeks.

nunnie · 18/04/2010 13:45

With me dd I didn't get any symptoms until I was 7 or 8 weeks, but it lasted till 16 weeks. With this one it has kicked in earlier so I am hoping it will go before 16 weeks.

Don't worry too much some people don't ever get MS.

I am just over 7 weeks and have had no nausea or change in my food tastes either! I reckon it is just good luck so far - my sister started with it at 8 weeks and went on for ages.

I felt a bit like I was getting off lightly when I spoke to my friend who is pregnant.

Fingers crossed we stay like this

thanks for your post - is strangely reassuring but sorry to hear you had it so bad

i feel much better now!! is so hard being this early on in preganancy and not really having anyone to talk to about it - i'm just paranoid there is something wrong! cant wait for the first scan at 12 weeks with the thumbs up and then being able to actually discuss things with friends!

I am now 17 weeks... I only ever had very mild nausea in the evenings when hungry (no actual sickness apart from when I caught a 24 hour bug) and the nausea only kicked in from 8 weeks (and went at 14!). Don't worry. No nausea alone is definately not a bad sign... you are lucky so far!

x

hey lunaticfringe thanks for your message and yes thats exactly how i feel - i.e. that either something is wrong or that it's all in my head (despite 4 pregnancy tests and counting!!) I guess i just need to chill out, I think i may go for an early scan just to stop me worrying

I'm 8 weeks and have only had mild nausea so far and that goes away as soon as I eat something healthy.

Have been alternating between counting my chickens and also aware that it could still hit me!

It's very hard to try and relax and just be pregnant! I had an early scan due to a previous ectopic and it was fab to see a hearbeat, it's all about milestones though as now am waiting till 12 weeks and then I'll be waiting till 24 weeks, then 32... it goes on and on I'm afraid!

SparkyMalarky · 19/04/2010 10:40

Try not to worry - with DD I felt really quite fine until about 7 wks+ when the nausea and the crushing exhaustion set in. And yes, I did pregnancy tests about twice a week until 8 weeks!

Good luck!

I only had about 2 or 3 days of mild nausea, in total with DS (nearly 9 yrs old).
Try not to worry, not every healthy pregnancy results in MS.
I haven't been so lucky this time round ....don't wish for it!!!! Even with all the nausea I have with this pregnancy I am still worried, and wishing away the time until my first scan!

MadameCheese · 19/04/2010 13:33

Some women for example my mother had no sickness/nausea with my sister or me . Come to think of it I felt pretty good for the first couple of months

MrsMopple · 19/04/2010 13:40

I didn't get morning sickness with my first pregnancy, or this current one. In fact, I felt so normal this time that I assumed that the pregnancy had failed, so went for an early private scan where I was proved doubly wrong. (I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with twins!). The only thing I did notice was that I was a bit more tired than usual, but even that has gone away and if it wasn't for my growing bump, I'd still be doubting I was pregnant at all.

yellowflowers · 19/04/2010 13:49

hello - pleased not just me. I have had very mild nausea but some days none at all - obv I should be careful what I wish for as don't want to feel ill but am also worried it means it's not working though have done numerous tests and line has got darker and digital predictor went up etc. Am also six weeks.
