How early did you feel your baby move?

I'm beginning to think I might be going mad. I am 10.5weeks with dc3 and can feel what I can only describe as light fluttering sensations.

With my previous pregnancies I felt the babies move around 14 weeks but not consistently until 17 weeks.

I know that the baby is still only very small, what have your experiences been?

I was sent for an early scan at 6 weeks with DS (5th baby). On the morning of the scan I said to DH that I was sure I could feel baby moving, but must be going crazy. Went to the scan and I was actually 22weeks - I had been on clomid to start my periods back AFTER I was already pregnant, but all my pregnancy tests came back negative till then.

Good luck, but be prepared!!!

i'm sure i could feel it early both times, like, ten or eleven weeks. we had a scan around then and dd was bouncing around like a mad thing, and i could deffo feel movement as i saw it onscreen.

with my first about sixteen weeks or there about, but was convinced I could feel ds2 at about ten weeks...could've been wind though

APassionateWoman · 15/04/2010 22:54

Around 18 weeks with first and 16 weeks with second, but the movements werent really definite and strong until 20-22 weeks

tattycoram · 15/04/2010 22:57

This is really interesting, I am pregnant with dc2 and I'm sure I first felt him/her move at about ten weeks I'm sure of it, but the few people to whom I have mentioned it have looked at me as if I was mad, including the sonographer at my 12 week scan. I'm just 13 weeks now and he/she has a wiggle every evening after I've eaten.

Not till 20 weeks for certain - but first baby and anterior placenta, so I wouldn't have expected anything much earlier.

mumtotwoboys · 16/04/2010 08:15

21 weeks, had the placenta at the front

cinnamongreyhound · 16/04/2010 08:56

17 weeks with first and 13 weeks with this one, although not regularly until 17 weeks. I honestly don't know what is physically possible but as you've been pregnant before and know what you're feeling for I guess it's perfectly possible

I felt movements that early too.....and it turned out to be twins!! Then i had another set of twins after and felt movements early then too. With my singletons it was normal time when i felt movements. Have you been for your 1st scan yet??

MrsC2010 · 16/04/2010 09:49

Apparently you do feel them earlier with subsequent children.

With this one (my first) I started feeling her at around 17 wks, slight taps.

whirleywoo72 · 16/04/2010 15:18

im 18wks , and on my 4th felt movement as early as 14 wks, and people were telling me a load of rubbish, but i know its there,
