Hi there I've got one DS 5 and I used to have a pair of these when not pg ( that I never used) but now I feel like i want to get moving and do some power walking so I don't get left with a flabby bottom post birth! Does anone know if they're ok to use when pregnant? Thanks!

I'm not sure about whether they are medically not recommended during pregnancy - but my only thought would be if your balance is ok i dont' see why not.
I have been really unstable during pregnancy and so would hate to increase that!
You could always just stick to the power walking (in normal shoes) - and up lots of hills? Plus buttock exercises which are also good to get the baby turning as you will be on all fours.

I was told that if you wore them pre-pregnancy you can wear them during pregnancy but if you didn't then not to!

I was told not to wear them initially and stopped and was advised not to restart wearing them because of the strain!

I wore mine religiously afterwards though!

do you ladies rate them? Im 7 weeks pregnant and I do quite a lot of jogging but havent in about a month(as have felt terrible) but am going to start again tomorrow, (slowly and carefuly)

Thanks ladies, I;m still only 16 weeks so not so unstanle yet but I guess I could wear them for a couple of months and then save them to wear after, I know it sounds very vain but I;m only 5'1 so need the height with my jeans! I'll ask when I go to try them on what they recommend.

OWO I could feel the muscles after a work out and then putting on the MBT's but I don't think they'd do enough on their own to make any impact other than maybe improve your posture which is no bad thing.

butterscotch · 15/04/2010 14:35

OWO I wouldn't personally run in them whilst pregnant! They are great for posture and make your legs work better! For an alternative OP now summers here what about fitflops? They are so comfy as much as my croc flipflops but they still work out the legs bit lower impact and as not shaped more stable ! Great for walking in! I've had mine 3yrs and am goig to treat myself to a glittery pair!!!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 15/04/2010 17:25

Oh blimey I never even thought about this and have ordered some fit flops. I'm not planning to much more than potter about in them though and they look comfy so I suspect they will be fine.

skihorse · 15/04/2010 17:28

Will they be inserted vaginally?

butterscotch · 15/04/2010 21:50

Redandyellow fitflops are the most comfy fitops ever well worth the money! I've even converted my mum she owns 3 pairs!!!

I love my MBTs (black trainers) and actually wear them to everything: work, around the house, walking the dog... but then I did before I got pg and I suppose I never even thought about if they were ok to wear when pg or not!
I do like that (at 25+4) they give me reasonably respectable posture. Dunno how long that will last, but fingers crossed!
