Anyone have caesarean scar adhesions?

Hi,
I'm 18 weeks pregnant with with my second child. My son who is 3 and a half was born at 39 weeks, a planned CS as he was breech.
Since the start of my pregnancy I've had a lot of pain in my lower belly around my scar area. My midwife last week said she thought I probably had adhesions. It feels like an line of elastic bands all stretching upwards at the same time when I move from lying down/sitting to standing up. Sometimes it's so bad, it takes me 5 minutes to stand up straight.
I'm really determined to have a VBAC if the baby is head down.
Does anyone have experience of adhesions and if so did it affect your chances of a VBAC or make your birth more painful?
Thanks, Lisa.

Hey There

I don't have CS scar adhesions, but I did have adhesions from a botched appendectomy when I was 10 (!) and yes, it was really painful and felt like something was 'wrong' up until about 17 weeks for me. The scar itself looked very odd - as the rest of me swelled there was a huge divot where the scar was. Then one day I got up too quickly, felt something almost ripping, which was really painful for about 10 minutes but I've had no pain or discomfort since, so I'm assuming it's all sorted itself out and whatever was sticking has unstuck itself naturally, if a bit painfully.

Sorry - can't help about the Vbac though.

I've had 2 sections, one emergency, one at term +plenty (hesitate to call it elective). Currently planning VBA2C.

I had adhesions after the first section, caused only minor pain in day to day life, but which made surgery for the elective longer and trickier. Consultant suggests they would not be a problem with a VBAC at all, in fact were more of a problem for a repeat section. HTH

My scar is like this. Am currently 13 weeks with dc3. Dd1 to dd2 was no problem but this time I have had a lot of pain. They have calmed atm but may get worse as I get bigger
