Piles :-(

I'm 33 weeks and really suffering with piles! I never had this in my first pregnancy.

Does anyone know anything I can do - is it safe to use the stuff you buy in the chemist, or do I have to go through the embarrassment of asking my GP?

Are they likely to go away after pregnancy?

You can ask the pharmacist - they will know (the packet/ instructions may also say). In the meantime plenty of fluids and apples!

Don't be embarassed - they are part and parcel of pregnancy.
I find the best thing to do is relax and poke them back in - it doesn't hurt and once they are in the pain is gone!

Sorry if that sounds a bit minging but it works!

My GP cleared me to use Anusol HC which is available over the counter from the pharmacist. Have been prone to piles for a few years now and have found it to be very helpful. Good luck and feel better!
