Hi all,

Im 18+2 and have been suffering increasing amounts of pain in my hips. I have hip dysplasia anyway which I have learned to live with but my hips are getting worse with everyday. Im having to sleep with pillow between my legs, find walking painful etc. How do I go about getting diagnoised? Im supposedly under consultant led care but Im not being seen in the antenal clinic till May and I cant wait that long! Am I supposed to go to my GP and what can they do anyway??

Thanks xx

It might be pelvic girdle pain (the new name for SPD).
Good information leaflet about PGP.
Either your community midwife or GP should be able to make a referral to an obstetric physiotherapist. Some places you can self-refer for physio I think.
