Hi all,
I was just wondering how much weight was the realistic average of weight gain.
This is my 3rd preg and this is the only one which I have put this much weight on.
With DD1 and DD2 i lost 2lb straight away and then put 3lb back on.
I am only 10 weeks and have already put on 7lb.

I am not concerned as I wouldn't be bothered about weight fluctuations normally, it just seems quite a lot, my BMI is 24.

I know I haven't been eating loads more so unless it is twins I'm confused.

Heidi

Hi, I'm 11 weeks today and I've already put on 5 and a half pounds, but as I've gone up three cup sizes I think it's just all boobs! Plus I haven't had any morning sickness, so I've been scoffing a bit (Baby demanding Krispy Kremes, naughty Baby)

I'm 14 weeks with DC2. First time weight gain was steady- this time I'd gained 3kg by 6 weeks! Nothing much since though- I think my body just went into emergency fat storage mode at first then settled down.

comtessa · 13/04/2010 15:06

Mmmm, Krispy Kremes...

I've only gained about 2lb so far (7 weeks) but I feel like it looks more as feel like my stomach looks fatter already. But I'm fully expecting to gain more as the only way to stop feeling sick is too eat.

Really fancy donuts now!

I put on a stone in the first trimester, so I think I win My doctor asked me today "are you sure you're only 28 weeks?"!! Weird thing is that I still fit into my pre-pg trousers on the legs, but my belly and boobs are ginormous.

jwiggles · 13/04/2010 15:16

Not sure how much I have put on, a few pounds for sure (9+1 weeks now) but eating keeps away the nausea so thats exactly what i've been doing...eating!

We have a shop at work that sells ice-lollys and these are a great sickness preventer.

Am eating a Fruit pastilles one as I type!

I can see the shop selling out rather quickly though! Ooops

I am 10+4 with No.2 and have put 0.5kg so far. I can?t remember with No.1 but must have been around 3kg at this stage while I put 30kg in total. As overweight I am watching carefully myself this time.

FrenchLimeBlossom · 13/04/2010 16:53

I am 13+5 wth my first and have lost 10lb and regained 9lb since getting pregnant - although have had pretty bad morning sickness and to be fair was overweight to start with. My boobs are a bit bigger and my waist has thickened a little bit but i'm largely (pun intended) the same as i was pre-pregnancy.

However given the fact I have a head start on some of you (already a couple of stone too heavy) now that I can actually eat again I am so far trying to be really careful about eating - snacking on fruit and yoghurt (and fruit ice lollies jwiggles) and not really eating any more than usual. But i bet my good intentions go out of the window at some stage!

I'm nearly 12 weeks and have not put any weight on at all yet.

Several reasons:
I feel sick all of the time and don't fancy food.
Anthing that is remotely unhealthy (crisps, cake, pastry, biscuits etc) gives me heartburn so I'm avoiding.
Pre-pregnancy I was drinking quite alot of wine so those calories are gone and not replaced because I've stopped drinking.

This is baby no4 for me and it's the first time that I've not packed it on so I suppose each preg is different
