Clear Blue faint positive line vs negative Clear Blue digi?

Hi,

I know the best advice is to wait and see but just looking for a bit of reassurance. I'm trying for second baby and period is at least a couple of days late by normal cycle.

Yesterday I got a faint positive on a normal CB test and the same again today but it appeared slightly stronger, sooner. Normally I would think a line is a line and therefore a BFP. The thing that is worrying me is I did a clearblue digital this morning in the same FMU and it came up not pregnant. I realise my HCG levels may not be high enough but I am late with my period and the other CB test came up with a faint positive.

Anyone got any comments?

Hi Mimi. Well, I can't tell you for sure of course, but here's my experience for what it's worth! I got a faint positive with FMU with a superdrug own brand about 4 days before my period was due. I had had it kicking around at home and vaguely did it on the off chance, more for the sake of it than anything, so when that faint line came up I literally could not believe my eyes. I spent the morning in a panic and then ran out and bought a really expensive sensitive test. Which was then negative. I was really upset and confused, but the next ten tests were all positive. They were all own brand supermarket ones, that were not supposed to be sensitive at all.

I also bought a digital, but was so scared of its 'not pregnant' potential that I waited about ten days before using it. THen it was fine!

I guess you don't want to wait really, so my best advice is to try and "save up" your pee for a few hours so it's fairly concentrated and then try again. Try a superdrug one, I'd say. Or any other cheapies...

I think the digital ones aren't as sensitive - there si a website somewhere that someone recomended to me once on here that lists them all and the sensitivities. So it could be that it is too early or the levels are too low for whatever reason.

Here you go www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html

I know how anxious this bit is - good luck. I always found I got the most satisfying strong lines with first pee in the morning so maybe try a non-digital one tommorow morning? (I have had a biochemical pg in the past as well when I tested on day period due and got faint line which just got fainter and fainter - apparently the sensitive tests can detect events where a conception did take place but the pg never took -hope npthing like that going on here but just to let you know my experience)
