Engagament in second pregnancies

Everything ive read says that in subsequent pregnancies the babys head doesnt engage till right before birth.

Im 35 weeks with DC2 and think that yesterday baby dropped. Ive now got the waddle and sharp pains downstairs. Sitting down feels like im going to sit on its head!

Just wondered on what others experiences were. Im not worried about going into labour soon. DD was 2 weeks late so betting this one will be the same.... although it might be quite nice.

I'm only 20 weeks with my second so don't know personally but a friend of mine is 36 weeks with second, she had a midwife appointment last week and was told the baby is fully engaged.

Give your midwife a ring if you are concerned, I am only early days into my second sorry x

It can pop in and out with second and subsequent pregnancies, as everything is a bit looser. Doesn't (necessarily!) mean you're about to give birth.

I am 35 weeks with my second and last week was told my baby is fully engaged. Was really surprised. I googled and found out that it doesn't necessarily stay that way as lukewarmcupoftea says.
