yep,. def sounds like worms

you'll need to see a GP really, because the treatment is contra-indicated if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, so don't go and get it over the counter, make sure you speak to a doctor

sorry, that doesn't sound very sympathetic, it was the 'omg, really!!' that made me giggle

It could be piles without being able to see anything though, surely? or a little cut. probably needs a doctor though, as tiy says

pipinmybelly · 12/04/2010 10:52

ok best go to the docs then if i doesnt get any better...il give it a few days first coz it might be a cut or just a sore bum coz iv had an upset tummy for the past few days (sorry again!!) hopefully its just sore from too much wiping!! god this is

I'd say piles.

Or have you had constipation recently and been straining?

nunnie · 12/04/2010 11:12

If you've had a bout of the trots, it may well be the aftermath of that, see if it eases. If it doesn't go and see your gp, piles are common in pregnancy, as for worms, I have no knowledge on those so can't help there, but doc will know x

Octaviapink · 12/04/2010 11:18

It's quite hard to get worms! It's probably just a bit of skin irritation from your upset stomach. Try a bit of Vaseline, applied with a clean finger (make sure your fingernail is short and scrubbed clean as well). Avoid thongs, as the string will irritate it further.

moonstorm · 12/04/2010 12:01

Erm ...

I was convinced I had worms - same symptoms, the dr woldn't give anything as he thought that nothing was really safe. However, they magically disappeared after the birth, so now I'm convinced it was piles afterall.

Hope you get it sorted

catbus · 12/04/2010 12:03

It could be many things, including thrush; also if you cannot finish 'going' as it were, it can irritate. Probably thrush though; yes even up your arse!

pipinmybelly · 12/04/2010 13:59

wow thanks ladies!! i too thought it was quite hard to get worms..hmm

maybe il just give it a few days to heal by itself, there's no broken skin or anything just irritating me and never had it before...if not then il take a trip to the docs!! how lovely!!

Another vote for your dodgy tummy here- when I get that it tends to irritate and itch a bit - especially if you've been eating chillis!

pipinmybelly · 13/04/2010 16:50

think iv found the culprit!! iv got a little spot/zit on my bum, in between my cheeks
think this may be the cause of the soreness and itchiness
