How much of a risk is toxoplasmosis?

Hello All

I was just wondering how common is it to catch toxoplasmosis in pregnancy? I'm not comforted by the books which tell me that it can be symptomless, but cause defects in the baby!!

I don't own cats, and am cooking my meat thoroughly, so am I still at risk?

Very, very unlikely

although do wear gloves when (if!) you garden

Immensely unlikely - but agree about wearing gardening gloves and washing hands thoroughly afterwards.
