My 20 wk scan is on the 10th May and im really keen to find out if its a blue or pink one!

THis is my 3rd pregnancy, I alreay have 2 beautiful boys- H is 4yrs & G is 10 months. Everyone keeps asking me if I want to have a girl- staring to get a bit ARRRRRR about that now as of course I would love a little girl but if im blessed with another wonderful & beautiful little boy I will be just as happy & proud!

Rant over....... anyone else hoping their babies havent got legs crossed

I'm about 8 weeks pregnant with my 4th. I have 3 boys already. I'm the same as you, it would be lovely if this baby is a girl but I would not be disappointed with another boy. At least I've been lucky enough to have children. I'm finding that other people seem more desperate for me to find out the sex of the baby then we are. I expect I will find out the sex as the temptation will be too great. I am already trying to think of witty comments to reply to anyones negative remarks.

Why do you want to know out of interest?

gemcgem · 11/04/2010 09:56

i'm allways the first to ask? i wanted to buy was of those pee sticks you can do from day dot but DH was like no wait atleast 20 weeks ! im preg with dd3 we already av 3ds an 2 dd an i was the same with each , i didnt care what they where i just wanted to buy the right colour, cause aint white boring !?

I am!! I can't wait and it's nothing to do with wanting to be able to buy pink/blue stuff - before our 12 week scan I was of the opinion that I really didn't want to know. And then we saw the LO on the screen and I just felt that I wanted to know as much as possible about this gorgeous little person. I know others don't want to and hey, each to their own, but for us it's the right choice. And I am really really looking forward to it.

BTW, I also genuinely have no preference.. and it's our first.

With my first ds I had no interest in finding out the sex. 2nd time round we were having twins and I had to know decided to find out, but to be honest I had so many tests and scans we would have found out anyway. A part of me would really like to wait until the birth as it is a really lovely surprise, but I know that I won't be able to help myself and as gemcgem has said white, neutral clothes are too boring!

We found out we were 'most likely' having an ickle girl 5 weeks ago

We decided not to tell anyone but they all know now because I keep slipping up and saying SHE!

I guess it could be wrong and I may be carrying a boy, but, what are the chances eh?

MrsC2010 · 11/04/2010 15:33

I did, we were just too curious...it wasn't about pink or blue. But it has been fun buying little....girly bits!

MrsAFlowerpot · 11/04/2010 15:41

My DH couldn't cope with not knowing and we found out we were having a DD at the 20 week scan. It meant from about 24 weeks we could call the bump by name, but we didn't tell anyone else we knew until she was born (she's now 12 mo!). It was great knowing and still our secret
