Hey,
I will have my first app and scan tomorrow (at 13+4 weeks). When the clinic sent the letter with the date, they didn't say anything about what to expect or how to prepare. Any help?

Hi, congratulations

First appt is usually taking you & your partner's medical history, talking to you about diet & exercise etc. The scan will probably take around 10-15 mins & they will check the baby's developing ok & confirm your expected due date.

You need to drink a pint and half of water at least an hour before as you need a full bladder for the scan. Everything else, is weight and medical history, they take bloods here as well, and they will answer any questions you have, make sure you write them down as you may forget after seeing the baby on the scan, mind tends to turn to mush well mine did anyway Good luck x

I had mine yesterday, was scanned 1st then had to do urine sample, saw midwife, saw consultant, had blood taken and booked 20 week scan. That's how Salisbury hospital do it but i expect every place is different.

good luck!
