I've been looking for some time now to find a fellow mum who has the same pregnacy problem as myself. Its called alloimune thrombocytopenia caused by HPA 1A plalet antibody. if anyone has experienced this in pregnacy, please reply. thanks

Smasher, I left a message on the other thread you wrote. I had this same problem. Have never been able to find anyone else similar so v keen to talk to you. Have a 7 year old who was unaffected followed by a miscarriage. Then had a 'normal' pregnancy but soon after birth discovered my now 3 year old had this. Platelets dropped to 3 at one point. He's fine now but been advised not to have anymore.

hi i also suffer from this and am pregnant with my 3rd child. i was diagnosed after my 2nd was born so will be undergoing treatment this time. i'm trying to find other people who suffer from this - are you still on mumsnet smasher?
