Sorry in advance if tmi...but..
iv'e been away for a week, and spoke to dp on the phone, when he said, 'can't wait til you get your figure back and we can have sex again'
gasp...
it hadn't been too much different from the normal until now..but i expect a dry spell..
he says he finds it strange having sex with our child right their and he's too aware of it.
it seems to have happened after he came to the scan and maybe saw the 'entirety' of it iyswim,
but...booo..i don't think the same
has anyone else had such a problem?

dh was a bit strange with number 1 but when he realised there is a drought after the birth he made sure it wasn't an issue with number 2!
lol

I'd bop him one for the 'can't wait til you get your figure back' bit!
Men!

I do believe it's a common problem, some men get a bit 'psychological' about the baby - I'm not sure what the official advice is, but I think I'd wait until he's esparate and then just seduce him, and hope that puts an end to his fear.

MrsDoolittle · 25/07/2005 18:43

Dh was the same. He suddenly became very 'aware' that I was carrying a baby and he didn't feel comfortable having sex. I wouldn't worry, it won't last too long.
You might go through the same thing again once baby is born.

babyonboard · 25/07/2005 18:43

Yeah..i know that..and told him that, but he's still not 'up for it'
he says he can't see me sexually whilst pregnant, he just feels loving and protective...

I'm with Blu, ignore him for a while, then he becomes desperate

babyonboard · 25/07/2005 18:44

p.s..damn shame.. as it's been even better than usual for me recently!

babyonboard - I've been the same. Infact sex has been better for me since dd was born. I have a theory that my g spot has moved!!
That was dh said to me, he suddenly felt all protective and just didn't fancy sex. The shame of it was, I was gagging for it!

babyonboard · 25/07/2005 18:48

oops..bit of a delay in my postings, and the replies there..
i really can't understand it..only a few weeks ago wheni had morning sickness so bad that even the thought of sex gave me motion sickness he was totally desperate for it..but now it seems he's prepared to wait for the next 16 weeks and beyond (when i magically return to pre pregnancy state..mwuhahahhaha)
