Hello
I am 9 weeks tomorrow, and have loads of symtoms - completely knackered, sore boobs, a bit sick, but I'm NOT desperate to go to the loo all the time....just more than usual when I wake up. Am really paranoid this is a bad sign - any other experiences?

no I don;t think I was - just at the end. Don't see why you would be until there's something to press on your bladder? Could be wrong. Or I suppose if you're sipping loads of water as feeling sick.
Congratulations

Thanks v much....I think I've read general artciles saying you need the loo loads in early pregnancy, but I haven't noticed very much of a change. Am sure I am just being paranoid!! Thanks for replying.

Given all your other symptoms I really don;t think you should be worried. Have you booked in yet? I think it'd be too early to hear a heartbeat but if you were really worried a scan should put your mind at rest.

Hey There

I'm 24 weeks and haven't really needed the loo more than normal at all. Just be thankful - I've got friends who need to get up several times in the night!

But I don't let it stop me using the 'sorry - have to go to the toilet' excuse when I'm in a boring meeting, or stuck in the corner with someone desperate to tell me their gory labour stories...

bagelmonster · 06/04/2010 14:41

don't think anything to worry about honey, may be too early as baby isn't big enough to irritate your bladder. I only started to need the loo loads about month and a half ago, I am now 31 weeks and need it constantly!! Just wait till it starts then you will be wishing you could just go half an hour without going to the loo!! Congrats and take carex

nunnie · 06/04/2010 14:47

I have only noticed I need to go once in the night some nights, I am 10 weeks. I am off coffee and tea and am drinking juice constantly throughout the day, so I put mine down to that, the more fluid in the more wants to come out.

With my last pregnancy it was the same, it wasn't till later third stage that I was desperate to the point where I was lucky to make it sometimes wouldn't worry too much though x

BexJ78 · 06/04/2010 14:53

i was never desperate for the loo until right at the very end (36 wks plus) and didn't really have any symptoms at the start apart from sore boobs. so, IME, nothing for you to worry about. congrats!!

Hi - I am seeing doctor on Thursday for general ante-natal appointment, so will mention it then. I had a scan at 6+6 as had v mild brown spooting, and all looked good with heartbeat etc, and my symptoms haven't really changed, so am hoping it's just that I don't have this particular symtom very strongly

I'm 34 weeks and I still don't need to get up in the night for the looo! In fact all normal. Boobs normal too. I'm pretty boring. Nausea was my only symptom through until bump started to get in the way and got achey around 30 weeks. We're all different and it affects us in different ways. You might be boring too.
I spotted on and off for the first 16 weeks, particularly on period dates.

Cozie · 06/04/2010 20:19

Hi Olivetti

I recall you from another forum, think it was a TWW !!!

I m sure you are progressing just fine, everyone is different, where as im on the loo all day but not sick at all.

Let us know what is said at your ante natal

x

Just adding that I didn't ever need the loo more than usual (I'm 21 weeks now) and also had no symptoms whatsoever other than sore boobs and feeling a bit off my food. Everything is AOK with my baby so don't worry!

JustAnotherManicMummy · 07/04/2010 13:04

Be thankful for small mercies

I had the whole needing the loo urgently from about 9 weeks until nearly 4 months pregnant. So when you're not showing so no sympathy from anyone. Which is grim.

I think it's the hormones that can do it. And they affect us all differently.I've always been sensitive to stimulants like caffine and alcohol so I suppose it was to be expected.

I was very lucky the rest of the pregnancy though. No stress incontinence or urgency in middle or latter stages. Even at 40 weeks I was only getting up once in the night if at all.

comtessa · 07/04/2010 21:01

Well, I'm 6 weeks and I'm fine during the day, but have to get up about five times in the night. Wish I could explain to my body the best way to do things sometimes.
