Sex during early stages of labour?

My labour started 2 weeks ago, I've been having mild period pains and back ache. The midwife examined me and said that my cervix has started to soften which is the early stages of labour. Does anyone know if it's safe to have sex during this time? My waters have not broke.

Yeah go for it if you feel up to it! the prostaglandins in his sperm should help your cervix to soften/dilate more, and so will your own orgasm. Good luck! er, with the birth not the sex.
