Really gloopy discharge - like thick egg white @ 28 weeks...

I am 28 + 3 and tonight when I went to the loo (sorry this really is TMI) I went to wipe and a long sitcky blob of something stuck across the back of my hand. It was like thick clear/mildly yellow runny nose goo. I have been having a hard sore tummy on and off today (but been 'aggravating' it abit with housework), but not like labour or even menstrual cramps really. Is this just 'one of those things'? I lost my plug in actual proper established labour last time , in one big blob with blood streaked so I don't think it's that... Thanks

Thrush perhaps?

GlastonburyGoddess · 03/04/2010 22:56

btw ive had this on and off all the way through, im just under 26weeks

I would suggest you call your midwife/labour ward depending on what the system is in your area. It could be a show and combined with the hard, sore tummy, is worth getting checked out IMHO.

I'm 28 + 4 and I've noticed my discharge getting a little thicker over the last couple of weeks. I've had to be wearing liners which is why I also noticed a small amount of blood loss last week. Went for checks and the blood was down to hormones causing changes in the cervix. I presume any bad cause for the discharge would've been picked up, but nothing was said. I think it must be a hormone thing at this stage of pregnancy.

Agree with DaisymooSteiner though - I didn't notice the bit about a hard sore tummy. Do get it checked just in case.

No itching and no white stuff (had thrust before ) so doesn't seem like anything like that. I will see how the tummy goes overnight, I have only really just sat down so maybe a lie down on the sofa will help - thanks

I'm 15 weeks and have this every day!

I have been having this from the start! 28 wks now. I have gone off wearing my usual G strings, as I felt a wet thigh one day, and it was a blob of what you described ( gross I know). So I am wearing 'normal' nickers now! lol
Midwife says it is the change in hormones, and only be concerned if it changes colour or gets smelly?
No sore stomach though? Gaelicsheep - good idea about panty liners, why didn't I think of that?
