Just sit and wait, I would think! How far on is she?

thedollshouse · 03/04/2010 18:43

It sounds like it! She was having pains earlier on in the week wasn't she?

Best wishes to you and your dd.

Yes it does sound like a show - but don't get too excited, you can have a show weeks before the birth I am afraid!

Still at least it shows that SOMETHING is happening.

thedollshouse · 03/04/2010 18:46

As she is a bit early I would ring the midwife just in case they want to monitor her.

Lulumaam · 03/04/2010 18:47

at 36 + 1 it is a bit early, but you can lose your show weeks before labour and not until labour is established sometimes... it does reform if lost earlier on

in the absence of pains at the moment, i don't think you need to do anything, but if pains start, or she loses more water or more bloody show, i would call labour ward for sure

at the moment, she has probably had a show, but without other signs of labour, it is not that significant, IFYSWIM

you can call laobour ward, but i imagine she will be advised to do ntothing in the absence of pains etc

You can have a show quite a bit before labour begins but I know that your dd has been having pains before so you never know. Will look out for the announcement on our ante-natal thread
