I have had the nausea this time with one small bit of sickness and it's become the only real symptom I have except the funny taste in your mouth and headaches earlier on.I have had the nausea about a week and have found eating has kept it at bay but today i've woke up and I feel nothing in the way of sickness and was wondering if this could be normal? It used to start badly first thing before I ate and I just don't have it today. In my last pregnancy I felt sick morning noon and night until 20 weeks and i'm just worried this isn't right. Please can you let me know if you've experience the same and it's normal or if it's not?

How many weeks are you?

I did find that some days the nausea would be awful and some days it would be non-existent.

Try not to worry - chances are you're just having a 'good' day and the sickness will either go completely or come back later in the day or tomorrow.

Not all pregnancies are the same either - my last one was great and enjoyed every minute, with very little side effects. This time round I've had everything going (including awful sickness) and can't wait for it to be over.

Try not to worry but if you're stressing then maybe just put a call into your midwife.

In my first trimester I was only sick once, then discovered eating made me feel better and was never sick or even nauseous again. I suspect things are fine, and plenty of people have different experiences with different babies.

I am 7 weeks, I think I found it strange that the nausea has just gone because it was such a constant last time and also I thought it usually lasts until at least 13 weeks according to the books. I got worried and retested(sound like a crazy woman but my mom mc when she was 7 weeks and didn't find out until the scan at 12 weeks so I am a little paranoid) and the line was very dark and definately there so will just see how it goes. I am grateful I'm not so bad this time though as I have a little one and I can't imagine howi'd cope if my pregnancy was the same as before. Thanks for your replies, i'm really interested to know if it can just start and stop completely within a week (fingers crossed it's gone for good ;).)

I had a similar experience - felt a bit nauseous for about 1 - 1.5 weeks. Found that a light snack made me feel better. Expected to experience much more nausea from wk8 on but i was totally fine! Though i did look up lots of websites to see if that was normal, as i was a bit suspicious about general feelings of relative wellness! Just very lucky . I bet you will be fine so don't worry!

I have had two experiences this year: my sickness completely disappeared between 6-7 weeks, but so did the soreness in my boobs, bloated feeling, etc and I had spotting. I went on to have a miscarriage.

However, I am now pregnant again, almost 12 weeks, and between 7-8 weeks I woke up one morning and felt no sickness, and since then I have had days where I feel fine (but still have my other symptoms). But definitely the worst was between 6-7 weeks and it hasn't been as bad since. But in my first pregnancy, like you I was nauseous til about 20 weeks. So every pregnancy is completely different and you could just be very lucky this time, or you may find it comes and goes and later today you feel really sick again. Also, some people don't get it for a couple of weeks then it comes back with a vengeance!

Sickness is completely meaningless! Every pregnancy is different - don't worry about it, just be happy! I had no nausea at all last time - this time I've felt constantly sick for the last three weeks.
