Hi, im due with baby #3 on Sept 21. Hasnt been too great so far as ive been diagnosed with a possible blood clot so now need to inject with Clexane twice daily and now ive come out in a red itchy rash that keeps me awake a night. Its driving me & my hubby mad!

On the up side my sickness feeling & headaches have now gone and my energy levels have returned although these sleeples nights from itching are making me really tired!

How about you?? Are you feeling ok?

leawesty · 03/04/2010 13:29

Hi,
Thanks for the replys, My baby is due 27th Sept.

It hasn't been easy I have to inject myself with clexane everynight because I'm high risk from blood clots.

I've had 3 hospital admissions so far and I'm only 14 weeks plus I have hydronenephrosis wont go into too much detail as I already started a thread on where to have your babies? as I feel I've been treated badly at the hospital I go too.

My sickness is bad and I hopeing that it will calm down, I'm really looking forward to meeting my baby but feel anxious as I've been so unwell.

Good luck to everyone x x

I'm due 31st August but my son was 2 weeks late and I'm hoping this one will be at least one day late so it won't have to start school being the youngest!

Sounds like I'm having a better time than all of you

There is an antenatal thread for ladies due in September here - the antenatal threads are usually lovely, friendly and supportive.

leawesty · 03/04/2010 14:52

Hi watersprite, your hospital sounds as bad as mine! to be fair its not the hospital but my midwife! It must be awful for you having to go through that but at least it is controlled, and your sickness will go mine went at 16/17 week i feel full of beans, for the moment anyway! I have been out more this last week than i can remember i felt that bad.

watersprite · 03/04/2010 16:07

Thank you all for the lovely comments, I will have a look at the anti-natal threads thanks again x x

Watersprite im also injecting clexane but twice a day (i didnt mention that in my above message as i didnt think it was very common) im also considered high risk of a blood clot due to chest pains at 11 weeks. Im now wondering if this rash & itching has anything to do with the clexane- such a nightmare!
Do you have any side effects from using clexane? It nice ive found someone in the same boat and at the same stage of pregnancy

watersprite · 04/04/2010 17:24

Hello MummaHG,

Yeah i'm itching all over and when I'm not itching Im thinking about it. Mostly affects me late at night.

As you say you have the itching and are on claxane it must be a side effect, how weird.

I had chest pains at 11 weeks to, this is really weird now lol, I ended up in A/E with them, had to have a CT scan and xray plus doplar scan.

My mum has had 2 P.E'S and 3 DVT, my nan and grandad also, so that's why i'm on the claxane once daily at 40mg. How about you what amount are you on?

Anytime you fancy a chat just let me know.

x x

Hi Watersprite, oh the night time itching is the worst- i feel like i havent slept in ages due to itching!!

Im on 100mg twice daily (mainly because of my size- im not hugh but slightly over weight). My Hospital told me i couldnt have a CT scan or VQ scan as the radiation is too high for the baby- it was my choice not to though as they said i could go back at 15 weeks to have one to confirm if i do have a blood clot or not. Now my GP says if i have the CT or VQ scan the blood clot wont show as ive been using clexane for 5 weeks- how annoying!
There is no history in my family and my other 2 pregnancies have been fine- no blood clots or DVT. Now ive been advised to keep injecting until the bubs has arrived which seems like a lifetime!
Is this your 1st pregnancy? Where abouts are you- local to london??

Hope the itching eases for you and for me!!

Hi fellow September Mummies,
I'm due on September 7th. Feeling rather guilty about my lack of hassle but won't count my chickens yet...
